
CHIEF GUEST – MICHAEL DIERKS
The NRW Film Festival is proud to announce Michael Dierks as our esteemed Chief Guest. We are honored to welcome a talented actor, musician, and performer whose career spans television, film, and music.
Michael Dierks’ journey in the arts began in Los Angeles, where he studied acting, dance, singing, and directing at the University of California, Los Angeles. He appeared in the US film Mambo Kings and returned to Germany after five years to pursue a dynamic career in television and film.
His breakthrough came when he sent his music piece Liebe rahmt mich to RTL, which led to his role as assistant Marco Mommsen in the popular TV series T.V. Kaiser. Michael Dierks’ work has been recognized with a nomination for the Goldene Kamera as Best Comedian Actor in 1997. He has hosted major live events, including the 24-hour New Year’s Eve celebration for RTL Zwei: The Final Countdown Live – Into the New Millennium.
Michael Dierks has since appeared alongside international stars such as Jeffrey Dean Morgan in Postcard Killingsdirected by Oscar winner Danis Tanovic. His filmography includes roles in Schöne Witwen küssen besser and Bewegte Männer, as well as appearances in TV series like Der letzte Bulle. He achieved cult status with his role as Marco Mommsen in T.V. Kaiser and as Sascha in Hausmeister Krause.
